GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
- After 2 to 3 weeks, when the yellow lettuce reaches a good size, has a bright orange-yellow skin and a sweet aroma, it is ready to harvest.
- Harvest method: Gently twist or cut the fruit from the plant using a knife or scissors, leaving a short stem to help preserve freshness.
- With proper care, the plant can continue producing fruits, allowing for multiple harvests over an extended period.
- Spread the yellow lettuce seeds evenly over the soil, then cover with a thin layer of soil (1-2 cm) to aid germination.
- If sowing in rows, keep 30-50 cm between plants to allow the vines to spread and grow well.
- Watering: Water lightly once or twice a day to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
- Fertilizing: After 10-15 days, apply organic fertilizer or diluted NPK fertilizer to help the plants grow strongly and produce fruit early.
- Prepare the soil: Choose loose, nutrient-rich, well-draining soil such as light clay, organic soil, or sandy soil. Remove weeds, loosen the soil, and mix in organic fertilizer or decomposed manure to improve fertility.
- Seed treatment: Soak the seeds in warm water (2 parts boiling water + 3 parts cold water) for 4-6 hours. Then, wrap them in a damp cloth and let them sit for 6-8 hours until they start to sprout. This speeds up germination.
